Pneumatic Conveying and Rotary Valves
CFF Systems and Design are the exclusive representatives for Magnum Systems Inc. We offer local sales and service support for dilute and dense phase conveying systems as well as their full packaging line and rotary valves (airlocks).

Valve Bagging Systems
Pneumatic or air packer: Uses a regenerative blower or other air source to pressurize a chamber full of product with
the only air escape though the spout. Product is deposited into the valve bag as air pressure seeks the path of
least resistance.Auger packer: Uses a screw or auger to fill bags with product. Difficult to feed materials like starches and flours to
granular material can be packaged with an auger packer.Impeller packer: Uses an impeller or slinger to “sling” the product through the fill spout to the bag.
Dense, fine mesh materials such as grout are best packaged on valve bag fillers using impellers. -
Open Mouth Bagging Systems
Open-mouth bags’ wide top ends are suited for a variety of different products with widely varying mesh sizes, bulk densities and flow characteristics and filled by Gross Weigh or Net Weigh scales.
-
Bulk Bag Systems
We offer bulk bag loading and unloading systems in many configurations to fit your application.

Rotary Airlocks
Rotary airlock, rotary valve, star valve, star feeder, vane feeder – rotary valves have many names. The name is secondary to quality, and Magnum Systems is where to turn for valves/airlocks renowned for longevity and manufactured in the U.S. What you should call yours depends on how it’s applied in your pneumatic conveying system. Its application determines how you choose the right one for your plant or facility.
A rotary valve:
Can be used as a metering feeder to control how much material is passed from point A to point B.
Can be used as an airlock to separate a high-pressure area from a low-pressure area.
Though it’s not the most accurate metering device or the best airtight seal, it’s the only valve that can do both at the same time, making it an ideal component for your pneumatic conveying system

Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying
Dilute phase conveying systems offer a long-lasting, trouble-free alternative to mechanical conveying systems, such as screw conveyors, belt conveyors, vibratory conveyors, aeromechanical conveyors or bucket elevators. The advantages include:
Easier to install and more flexibility in routing
Lower maintenance
Easier to route, especially over longer distances
Easier to clean
Self-contained with less emissions in many cases
Easier to expand in the future

Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying
A dense phase transmitter or DPT is at the heart of most high-pressure systems, commonly known as a pressure vessel or blow pot. The DPT is where the product is filled and pressurized to begin the convey cycle. Our patented bypass valve controls our dense phase conveyors and operates without cumbersome and expensive compressed air line boosters. The bypass valve controls the material-to-air ratio by diverting the conveying air around the pot if convey pressures rise too high. This is usually a result of too much material in the line, causing an off-balanced material-to-air ratio. By diverting the air around the pot, material flow is slowed, and the ratio is reduced by air going directly to the pneumatic conveying line.
Less susceptible to leakage and wear.
Operate at high pressure.
Integrates with batch weighing applications.
